Peace Park Development

Committed to improving the cleanliness, beautification and safety of the Beechfield/Irvington community, 438 of College Students from CRU and community volunteers cleaned, cleared, began development of 10 acres of organic space in the City of Baltimore on Saturday, December 30th from (west) Frederick Ave to North Bend Street and Frederick and Hillwell Rd.

The following activities and development opportunities are scheduled to take place:
·         An organic apiary with several honey bee hives with opportunities to train in beekeeping
·         Gardens to produce a variety of fruits and vegetables
·         Meditation stations sprinkled throughout the park.
·         The community Peace Park property will be well equipped with digital audio/video access and timed motion detection for early morning and after dusk monitoring that will be managed by Stillmeadow Community Development Corporation (a nonprofit organization).

In addition, there will be available research & observational projects within the park biota, e.g. flora, fauna, fungi, etc. in urban settings, 10 acres of organic space in the city of Baltimore and available for urban camping.
